The new Pinocchio film ... not a patch on the original ... Jiminy Cricket looks as though he has a green gimp mask on ... very strange!!

See how they run.

Funny in places. Less so at the start but more so as the film went on.

Sam Rockwell was very good, not a bad English accent either!

And Saoirse Ronan is so hot.

Thor Love and thunder 2/10

Awful, proper awful, yet watchable. The goats were the best thing in the movie and they annoyed the shit out of me at the start

Mad God!

The sick twisted that mind came up with the idea for this film, then spent 30 years making it, really needs some help.

It's along the same lines of if Mengele had a daughter, who thought it would be a good idea to get some rotten animal internals along with a few beheaded baby corpses (supplied by her father), chuck it all on a bed, get naked then writhe about on the bed while fucking herself with the detached arm of a thalidomide victim and filming it .... it's not a good idea, it's just sick and twisted!!

The only redeeming feature is that the stop motion was quite impressive Smile

Uncharted (2022) - 6/10

A film adaptation of the Playstation videogame series. Being very familiar with the games, this film doesn't seem quite right. For starters, the actors are just way too young to portray the videogame characters. In some of the scenes they also use some very cheap looking CGI, and so on. The 2018 Uncharted short film with Nathan Fillion was just done better.

That being said, it's still an alright action/adventure film with a plenty of well placed jokes. Thumbs Up

American Psycho 7/10 but only because Christian Bale.

Not that scary but I found it fascinating that once he started unravelling, he REALLY started Laughing excellent downward spiral into losing the plot big-time.
But I read the book YEARS ago, and you get a sense right from the start that something is Not Quite Right with that boy. Laughing The whole book fascinated me, not least of all because it was so NewYorky - if I'd not ended up in London, I would probably have ended up there instead.

I've not really noticed Christian Bale before I watched the LeMans66 film. I'm not big on Bat-genres, seen one seen em all, so American Psycho was only the second thing I've seen CB in so far.

He's got a nice grin... Shifty Wub

Actually ... the film pushed me into pulling my own socks up cos I've been having "a bit of a wobble" lately, and whilst watching that I suddenly thought "See old girl, that's the sort of thing that happens when you let go of the reins."
Thumbs Up ... so Thanks for That, Patrick Bateman Laughing

Exoddus: Gods and Kings.

Been on TV for years but always end up seeing it on half way through, finally caught it at the start this time.

Not very accurate in places and some interesting variations occur, but regardless of whether you're into the Bible or not, it's a good story.

Christian Bale is standard Christian Bale really. Ridley Scott despite being an Athiest can make a fair religious film (this and Kingdom of Heaven) are both good films IMO.

All Quiet On The Western Front. Netflix.

WW1 Gritty drama. Dubbed into English, which doesn't detract from the film at all. Think Saving Private Ryan
but in a WW1 backdrop and you won't be far off.

Story follows a new recruit going into the trenches during the fight to occupy France by the Germans.

8/10

Top Gun Maverick 9/10.

Weird: The Al Yankovic Story

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt17076046/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0

Daniel Radcliffe as Werird Al Yankovic, I thought it was really funny.

Its a parody, has Pablo Escobar and Madonna in Laughing

The Goonies Shocked 0.5/10

What might once have been an amusing romp now just sounds like a bunch of annoying brats on e-numbers that I'd like to slap upside the head and lock them all in a padded cell for a century or two.

Thanks for confirming what I always suspected and why I never watched it.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood 7/10

A frustrating film to watch if the viewer knows what actually happened.
Tarantino does his violence thing a tad too much and yet manages to inject some great humour.
Plenty to argue about with this film.

The acting is spot-on.

Yes I enjoyed it too!
I nearly didn't watch it as for some reason I never really took to Di Caprio, but was drawn in by Al Pacino suddenly appearing being a sleazebag ?agent Wub

I hadn't realised the actual subject matter until I was nearly halfway through and then I thought "well we know what the ending will be ..." - but it was actually very good, all things considered. Laughing

And was that Kurt Russell as a director on another set? *wibble*

Thats quite a vivid and oddly specific depiction of it, i didn't think it wss that bad.

It was surreal and weird in a mosters licking shit out of each others arseholes kind of way.

It had a kind school film project kind of vibe to it.

I definitely came away from it thinking what the hell did I just watch

Topgun Maverick.

Not sure why this keeps getting so much praise, I didn't think it held a candle to the original

The story was weak and implausible, and predictable

It wasn't terrible or anything, just overrated

I agree. Only reason it stood out is all the woke tosh we're being spoonfed of late.

A touch of masculinity was a breath of fresh air. Not a single 5ft woman bodyslamming a 6ft man in sight.

Wakanda Forever

I'm not even going to give it a score it was that bad, At over 2 and a half hours long it felt much longer, Storyline awful, plot awful, effects, awful, villain flying around with tiny teeny wings on his ankles was awful.

All in all its best avoided.
