Just thought I'd share a picture with you of my very pretty red VFR800FiW. Picked it up two weeks ago, and all seems in pretty good nick. Isn't she pretty? Wub

A friend has the exact same bike, although he's changed the levers and added a seat cowl. Tis an awesome bike!

Used to own one. Loved it.

Going by the diddy crash bungs, electrical gremlins, silver aftermarket downpipes and your location, you might actually now own it.

Oh yes. And apparently the electrical gremlins were banished over the weekend by my local garage, so I now have it back Very Happy

Next time you get stuck in traffic in a month without an R in it, it'll fail again. Look out for the fan not kicking in at 104 - that means you've lost another voltage regulator. They overheat and fail with alarming regularity. You'll learn to change them in your sleep. Otherwise - fantastic machine all round.

Does it, perchance, have separate keys for the ignition and fuel tank?

Just wondering if it was my old one (I replaced the fuel cap) - it's unsettlingly similar, especially as I traded mine in with a faulty RR. Obviously not though.

I adored mine - kept it a full two years which is a very long time for me. I adore my FZ1 too... but I do miss that engine note. Enjoy it!
