Short version...

He was t boned by a fool who wasn't looking, resulting in him being in hospital for months, having to let multipul broken bones heal and still has problems walking...

I haven't seen him to speak to since it happend but some of the lads from the club see him as he's not able to ride at the moment still as far as I'm aware, no one's mentioned him for a while...

Wotcha.

Hmm - I have to say it's my current injury.

On Halloween I was riding back home when a kindly car driver turned right across my path. Luckily the car just missed my front wheel - the next point of impact was my left knee. This had the effect of trying to push my leg out through my arse - making quite a mess of my pelvis in the process. Just for good measure I also aquired a rather nasty wound to the same leg. One rebuilt pelvis later, and a nifty skin graft, followed by three months lying on my back . . . and I'm now back home. My left foot has no upward movement - so that's any bike with a left foot gear change out of the question ( Drifter & MZ - the Guzzi, Enfield and BSAs are right foot shift )) Still can't walk. Can't ride a bike. I can't even sit on a normal toilet ! I can just about climb on board either trike but can't actually get my foot to go where it should.

Ah well, these things are sent to try us. I hope to be back up and on the road some time this year . . . . but don't hold your breath.

Thumbs Up
