newbie with a valve clearence question(derbi cross city)

hi all im new to the forum and have just got myself a a derbi cross city 125 as run about

ive been out of biking for nealy 8 years after a bad accident then i was 18

but for some strange reason ive got myself back into it again lol

im after some advice on what the valve clearence gap is on it as the need checking

ive been told its a yamaha engine its 4 stoke i know that but some people have said honda too can anybody piont me in the direction what it is and have the gasp for the valve clearence here is a pic of the engine

What is the engine number? Sometimes gives a clue as to what jap bike it's been used in.

I haven't clue as to the clearances Kieron but it's a CG125.

The engines for these bikes are made by "Zongshen" Its a GZS156,
Hope this can help ya!

It looks similar but then might be decieving

As far as I am aware, the Honda CG125 uses the push rod system whilst the Derbi cross city 125 uses over head cam driven with chain and sprocket, so my point is they just cannot be the same engines.

The feeler guage passes between what you can see in that pic and the top of the valve stem, and a right PIA job it can be!

Removing the rocker box, where possible, makes the job easier, but if the bolts also hold the head down then it's a no no.
