So I've got a Mondeo with a standard head unit, and the quality isn't great. I'm getting by with an FM transmitter for my iPhone.
The only real MUST is that it must keep the steering wheel controls.
I also want iPod input (preferably directly controlled so I can change track with the steering wheel controls).
And I want bluetooth hands free functionality.
From looking at eBay the only makes I can easily get adapters for the steering wheel controls are JVC, Kenwood, Sony, Pioneer and Alpine.
Bluetooth I can always install a separate parrot kit (or similar).
Anyone got any suggestions? Budget is about £100, it's stretchable for the right unit, especially if it has cool features.
Bear in mind the adapter lead for the steering wheel controls is £20, and the fascia adapter is another £15ish.
If need be, I'm quite happy to have no direct iPod control, but the head unit must have the aux-in on the rear so I can hide the cable burying it in the dash.
So a Sony/Pioneer/Alpine/JVC/Kenwood bluetooth, with rear aux-in would be a good candidate.
Anyone? My mind is boggled from over eBaying atm.
