So I had the pleasure of being back on 2 wheels today, my car is temporarily out of action, so I used the bike my friend left in my garage to store over winter - as it is far too cold to use it.

Well, I say 'bike', I really mean a Suzuki 125 Burgman Scootay. Cool

So the 30 miles up the M3 on the commute was undertaken at a max speed of 65mph. That's plenty enough when the temp is hovering around freezing. Even with 2 pairs of trousers, two thermal tops and a fuckoff textile jacket I was still cold. Fingers were the worst, even thou I had 2 pairs of winter gloves on.

Still tho, it was fucking magic being back on a 'bike'. Cool Bring on Spring when I get the SRAD back on the road. Very Happy

And, yes I know, it is a cool story. Literally.

I know the feeling,

My Ninja is gone, and brought a little cub 90 runaround, while its quite nice not to be walking/public transport, riding it is just comical, I keep seeing gaps that i just cant make, so i tell myself "cub cub cub cub cub" and breathe... Still its cheap...

I wanted a Cool Story, Bro! Pic with snow and ice on it or something, but I couldn't find anything so that will have to do! Wink

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Well, with some muffs and heated grips (and an extra 100cc) it would be spot on.

I just suffer really badly with cold fingers, and all add up all the time kitting up it's not worth it for a mortorway commute. There's no radio either.

Went on a 100 mile "trip" on the scooter once last winter, fuck knows why, it was horrible and windy so I was lucky to do 50mph. Never again though, when I got back I couldn't stop shaking, even after a 20 minute hot shower, not the cleverest thing I've done Very Happy

Pussies!

Layers, heated grips and winter is no big deal Mr. Green

Cheers
