You need an orange powerband.

You probably won't get anymore speed out of it. It's a 125 and it's Chinese. Do yourself a favour and get rid of it and buy a CG125 or something.

Really? I thought that red powerbands were more appropriate for this type of bike?

Red powerbands are only for racing though I do believe!

Its not possible to de-restrict a bike unless its restricted in the first place. Yours isn't.

Basically, its not like an Aprillia RS125 that has a race tuned engine designed to make about 30bhp, that to meet Learner power limits has been artificually limited to 12bhp, by putting a washer up its exhaust and a choke in its carburettor to limit its breathing & slow it down; 'restrictions' that can easily be removed to release the full compliment of power it was designed to have.

Your bike has a four stroke engine, designed in Japan to deliver around 10bhp, but made in China to very poor standards, that see it actually deliver probably only 8!

If it was a better made Japanese engine, it would be a tad quicker, but you still couldn't de-restrict it. To make the bike faster you'd have to tune it, which is to modify the engine away from standard to make it make more power.

As its a four-stroke, that would typically mean changing the cam profile to improve breathing, porting the head, possibly increasing the valve sizes, almost certainly changing the exhaust and carburettor and probably modifying the ignition advance curve....

Basically completely rebuilding the engine with a LOT of new bits.... and it ent cheap.

Your Chinese made version of that engine, would take the same kind of work to see it make more power. Its down on what the original Japanese design offered, but mainly due to poor manufacturing tolerences and components.

So you'd probably have to do a bit more on top.

Then we have the matter of life and reliability. You dont get owt for nowt, and when you tune an engine to make more power than designed, the trade-off for performance is life and reliability. Basicaly it wont last as long and it will break down more often, and or need more maintenence.

chinese bikes dont have that great a reputation for life & reliability to begin with, so tuning one is probably NOT a very good idea..... though, building one to better standards with better quality components MAY actually improve things a bit.... but there will be some weak-link of Chinese oragin left in there, so no garantees.

BUT, while things may be possible, whether they are practical, or ecconomical or not is another matter.

And the clincher would be, how hard and how expensive would Tuning a Superbuyke be, compared to simply selling it and buying a faster bike.........

Already been said, effort & cost vs performance, flog it on, buy a CG or YBR125..... boring styled comuters, BUT they do a genuine 65mph, probably a lot more on the speedo.

Just dont 'look' fast like the Superbyke.... which do you want? Performance or looks?
