I got these free on freecycle, they were in a bit of a state at the time and I haven't really researched much on what to do with them.
The only one with a tomato so far is the one which I put some ketchup around the base!

Oh and the wide-angle photos do make them look a bit more impressive than reality Smile.

The past 2 years have been a disaster with our 'tommys'.
This year we took the advice of our next door neighbour and planted a mini low growing variety in hanging baskets.

They have been marvelous .... and have supplied us with lovely smelling/tasting tomatos for the past 3 weeks.
(cant beat the smell of a proper tomato)

I am going to eat this one now Smile

No, mine, which are taken with a (35mm equivalent) 24mm lens, generally considreed 'ultra wide angle' as you can't go much further until you get fish eye. This gives the impression the plants are a lot bigger than they are in reality - the human eye is the same as a 50mm lens or so.

I've only had mine for two and a half to three weeks and they were still in the pots from the garden centre when I got them, so not holding out much hope right now.

Tried to grow some 'Toms' in the geenhouse we inherited when we bought this place, what a 'kin disaster, so many of 'em ended-up with 'Black Bottom' so decided we'd bin the lot and bollocks to 'em. Asda suited us nicely.

Well i'll give you one thing, your garden looks a hell of a lot better than the first time you posted a picture of it, i'm actually surprised.

I have a strong dislike of tomatoes on their own, in cooking they're ok. Eating a whole cherry tomato is, to me, a very horrible experience so I would never grow them. I feel left out of the veggie threads, I don't like tomatoes and chillis serve no purpose other than causing pain and discomfort so I opted for more palatable things.

Butternut squash which are doing well and about to flower, sweetcorn and a heck of a lot of it but has had some unexplainable issues lately, possible pests so not sure if it's actually going to produce anything but it's still growing rapidly so I think there's hope.

No Tomato’s – but we’ve put a veggie patch at the bottom of the garden (thought it’d be nice for the daughter to see where food comes from, not because we like gardening!)

Also got Parsnips, Sweet Potatoes, Strawberries, Red Onions… Don’t think it’s too bad for a first effort.
