This could be a spectacularly bad idea.
Has anyone here ever fitted luggage to the front of a bike?
I've got a spare set of give luggage and thinking about making a bracket to fit to the front of pan european for a bit of extra space.
Obviously the dynamics will change and room will be used for lightweight stuff, saving the heavyist for the back of the bike and not planning on a flat out blast anywhere, just a gentle cruise down to spain again.
Anyone? ____________________ Nobby the Bastard: How yo tell the difference between the actual japanese and her just screaming because she's had live fish stuck up her arse? Plenty of stuff gets stuck around the front for various 'adventure' applications, including dedicated small soft 'tank panniers', as well as rolls to go on the mudguard, tool tubes across the frame and in-bash-plate storage.
Though, if you really need that much stuff, maybe you should take a car . |

Sure it does, adventure riders have it all the time. Lilly who I met in Mongolia had 4 hard cases on her transalp, two on the tank and two on the back as normal. Also they put a rack above the headlight. ____________________ Spain 2008France 2007Big one 2009 We all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will. I know a fair few bikers who turn up to rallies with their tent strapped underneath the headlamp. Although if you want to take more than is possible to fit to your bike, maybe you should consider a trailer? A lady I know has a mini caravan as a trailer...it looks brilliant.
If I remember, I'll see if I can find a piccie of it and post it for you. ____________________ Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter won't mind - Dr. Seuss |
