I have heard of some drag racing along Brighton prom some time in september.

Can anybody shine a light on this and confirm that this is going to take place, and give a definite date.

I think the drag racing is a separate thing to the brighton burn up, at least I've never seen drag racing when I've been on the burn up.

That said, if you have never done the burn up you should do it at least once!

You mean The Brighton Speed Trials on Sept 11. Not drag but sprint. I have applied to race but it is always very over subscribed.

Thats the one. I was there last year, oddly enough I had no idea it was on and the GF and I were out for the day.

Yep, Brighton Speed Trials.

Wal, the event is invite-only. I've got some info that might help you along.

Does your bike need to be road legal for that?

I don't think so mate, they don't inspect your bikes or anything. Not 100% though. I can't see anything about it being a requirement on the website https://www.rwyb.co.uk/index.htm.I'll ask when I go up Sunday if your interested?

Nope, but there are a few rules. No antifreeze for one, and definately no oil leaks.

Certainly will come over and say hi and looking forward to seeing 'the badger' in the flesh

Proper looking forward to it and have my fingers crossed for similar weather to last years event

Are you going to be hooking up your camera to the bike for some of the runs?
Would be good to see it from a competitors point of view Wink

Stay safe practicing those launches between now and the event! Thumbs Up

Regards
Rob

Just so happens that i'll be in Hove that weekend with nothing* to do whilst mrsgixer is on a 2-day training course down there.
So, i may well pop along too.

*Nothing, other than getting very wasted with an old pal who lives down there.

Thumbs Up
