Planning ahead for when(if!) I pass my test... I'd like a Transalp, but have been doing some research and just read on a german site that for someone over 1.92m(around 6' 2") the seat is too low 
Everywhere else, it says that it's ideal for tall peeps...
Anyone got any practical experience?
They're not exactly on every street corner here, so I can't just go and try one.

Dealers? in Turkey?  Not in our bit anyway 
The article said it was something to do with the leg angle when seated rather than the seat height per se.

Get a peg lowering kit. Or as I said get the seat padded out a bit more to raise your backside and alter the angle.
Adjusting the bars can also affect the riding position.

I'm 5'6 give or take half an inch (take) so on a Translap.....

It's not about overall height peeps...it IS however, all about inside leg!!! For example, I have mates who are over 6ft tall, yet I have a longer inside leg than them.

i dunno where you learnt maths but 6'2" doesn't equal 192cm
your about 2 inches shy,
im 6'4" (193cm) and have ridden the transalp both the 650 and 700 cc models,
while the seat height was quite low it was pretty comfy, the seat height being low on these tanks isn't a bad thing, the balance on them is quite top heavy, so at low speeds on dodgy surfaces being able to poke your leg out is quite handy,

Anyway, I'm also 6' 4" with a 36" inside leg(ooeerr missus)...and a bit of a fatbarsterd if I'm honest too
Anyway, thanks for the input chaps...
Co-incidentally, I saw one parked outside the travel agents in town this AM, so might nip back later and see if it's still there...looks like the only way to be sure is to hop aboard one.
As the roads and tracks here are pretty rough, then this sounds ideal;

The Africa Twin looks higher(but also much more top-heavy) -comments anyone?

As long as you can get your feet down I can't see it being an issue. As people have said before on this forum, JFRI.
