I'm going to change the fork seals on my 94 NSR 125 RR as one has started to leak a little.

Could somebody recommend a guide online somewhere that shows this or has any tips on doing the job. It's the first time I will have attempted this so go easy on me Very Happy

Will I need any special tools? I've tried a search but there doesn't seem to be anything relevant to changing them

Cheers
Owen

You are supposed to have a special tool that undoes the bolt at the bottom of each fork leg, but I'd use an air impact wrench personally.

Its not an easy job, but its doable, even without air tools. The air impact wrench will make your life a lot easier if you can't get the bottom bolts undone though.

Lol i'd better get my dunce cap out!

Thanks Marjay, i'll have a look. I take it by bottom bolt you mean the allan bolt at the bottom of the shock body facing upwards towards the top.

Before you try to undo the bolt on the bottom of the forks (because you do NOT want to round them), take a small punch and give the bolt a couple of shocks with a hammer. It'll undo a lot easier then.
