Spotted this cheap tablet on Next, The tablet will be running on Android 2.1 and features a 1GHz ARM-based processor, 256MB of DDR2 RAM, 2GB+8GB of internal storage expandable via microSD card and an 802.11b/g Wi-Fi connection. The battery life is a bit of a let down at only 3hrs but its only £180. If the wife is asking for a iPAD this could be a cheap alternative for Christmas. Wink

Don't mean to Tar it, I am sure it's fit for purpose but the 3" by 2 inch android Xperia X10 mini has a similar spec also being a phone for £150.

If the wife asks for an iPad, you either get her an iPad, or get something completely different.

I doubt this would be anything like the iPad experience, and after all, she's your wife.

If I had to swallow a robot every day, I wouldn't like it. Never mind paying for it

Not as cheap as:

Most women wouldn't know the difference anyway...

EPIC FAILURE.
Its slow, the screen is a mess! the touch sensativity is just mind boggling and most of its in chinese.
The Android market isnt available for it so you have to use 3rd party app store.
Its more or less UNUSABLE!
Dont take my word for it, its not fit for the most basic purposes!

I was taking the piss. Laughing Laughing Laughing
She would not ask for an iPad as she is not taken will spending too much money on a piece of crap. If she want's a tablet am sure the Asus Eee Pad would appeal as its full of useful features like USB ports. Thumbs Up (was it gets gingerbread)
