Has any one experienced their trip meter start to become faulty?

What is happening on mine (CB 500) is that the meter will turn to 0099 and then set to 0090, when it should turn to 0100.

The odometer works fine, along with the speedo and rev meter.

Admittedly it is no biggie, but if I can sort it without buying a complete new unit that would be great Very Happy.

If you take it all apart (which may be more difficult than you could ever hope, depending on how it's been made) and look at the back of the odometer, you'll see there's a little cog between each of the numbered wheels - basically when a wheel spins once it catches on that cog, the cog advances the next wheel.

Sounds like either the 100 wheel or the cog between 90 and 100 has jammed. May or may not be fixable with appropriate jiggling.
