Hey guys, am off to the BMF show next weekend and wondered if anyone had a rough idea of how much I can expect to pay for a half decent set of leathers. I went last year and got textile gear but didn't really pay much attention to the prices of leather gear.

Thanks

No idea, I never go to BMF, and have had my current kit forever...so I think it's all expensive when I see it.

Absolutely no help to you whatsoever... Cool

It depends what you are after.

You can buy top notch stuff for about normal shop price, you can buy 'cheap' brand leathers for little money.

But I tend to go for known brands that are last years model/fashion as they get you the best 'bargain' value Smile

My first few sets of leathers were from the BMF and the Frank Thomas seconds tent/s. These basically contain returned goods that are potentially slightly faulty.

As long as you have a good look at what you are buying, then there ARE bargains to be had there ... I think the stuff I got was ~1/3 shop price and little - that was important - wrong with it Smile

But DO have a good look/try on of what you are getting as the faults vary from nothing notable to quite drastic!

Been a few years since I have gone, but have enjoyed it in the past.

Try and watch a bit of the moped-mania and other events in the centre bit (presuming they still do that!??!) - it is good fun to watch!! Thumbs Up
