I have a CBR600 and I am giving it a bit of a clean up. Just wondered what kind of paint it is for the frame/swing arm etc.

Cheers Smile

What year/model?

Im sure some are alloy's and powder coated and the like so not painted.

TBH though, if its just a painted frame just get some paint the same colour.
Ideally strip it right down and get it powder coated though.

It's a CBR600 F4 1999.

As said above strip and power coating is the best way to go about it. But thats a LOT of work, which is why it probably hasn't been done. Find the paint code and just give it a go otherwise. Do it in lots of thin layers, be careful with the sanding and polishing and it should look better than it does now.

If the swingarms on the 99 CBR are the same as on my bike (99% sure they are), then it isnt painted, it is brushed aluminium with a thin clear lacquer over the top.
