hello everyone. I was considering buying an
HONDA CRF 450. I probably would px my fazer and get one. I love the way the bike looks.
few problems that I hope you will help me with:
how much does it cost to make it road legal?
Can I make only day MOT or is there a way a can add light without making look like the ugly xr?
How hard to maintain this kind of bike are?
thanks

Does the CRF450X come with lights? You don't need lights for an MOT and there's no such thing as a daytime MOT but expect to get in trouble with the plod if you use it without lights in reduced visibility.

Maintenance will be high, frequent oil changes at least.

What are you going to use it for on the road? Supermoto?

The CRF450X comes with lights, electric start, wider ratio gearbox, milder cam and heavier flywheel compared to the CRF450R. The X is more suited to being used on the road and the R is pretty much a race bike with a service schedule to match.

crf are a good choice because crf's are common as muck for sumo conversions,

only one Cam, and cheap as shit parts.

i shall not have this slander away with you on your half-assed trail bike!

you could probably get one all fully done (sm'd and road reg'd) if your px'in the fazer. the x is the mild one the R (the one i have) is the fire breathing monster Laughing Easier to maintain than people would have thought (especially DRZ riders for some reason Confused ) parts in abundance. Sumo kits usually go for about £600 anything else just ask

My 450R came with a spare pair of excels and was road reg'd. Can't wait to to get my licence back and put some sticky rubber on it. Laughing

It's currently getting a full rebuild though which is setting me back a bit. Laughing
