Hi,

Looking for a new bike at the moment and I've noticed a few have blue hose kits. I was just wondering what the point of them was, I'm guessing they work in a similar way to braided brake lines?

Thanks

Blue hose kits?

Which hoses?

If it is coolant then the silicone hoses were used to replace the existing ones for tart factor or because the originals were old and broken. They come in black etc too but most people when given the choice seem to go for blue.

Your cooling system isn't THAT pressurised that it requires ultra strong hoses Thumbs Up .

Yep, it's the coolant system hoses. I just found it weird that the bike I was looking at was only 2 years old and all black apart from the stupid blue silicone hoses!? I just assumed they must have some benefit, otherwise whats the point!? Is blue faster or something...
