Im after a trail bike, road registered with lights etc, i dont want anything i have to convert.

I've heard XR400s and KDX220 are soem of the best trail bikes around, but am open to others for the right price.

Im based near Stansted Airport and also have a ZX7R track / race bike with v5 and all road gear i would part ex if you were interested.

Let me know what you have.

Cheers,

Matt

I have a KDX220R I might be persuaded to sell for £1500. It's on an 02 plate with a daytime MOT (meaning it has lights, but they're rubbish if I'm totally honest!).

The only way you can get a full MOT on a KDX220 that I am aware of is to uprate the generator on it as the standard power output is piss poor. Not seen any for sale with full MOTs.

Fantastic bikes though, I love mine to bits, great torque and enough top end to easily get you into trouble once on the dirt. I've only had this one for a few months but have since also bought a 2006 KTM EXC300 two stroke and to be honest, I don't see the KDX getting much me time from now on as a result.

The XR400 is a fat lump of a bike, if you're thinking of one of those, go for the CCM404DS instead, or the DRZ400E. From memory both are lighter and output more power. The CCM tends to come in a bit cheaper than the DRZ buat also has much better standard equipment on it.

I'm near Horsham (Gatwick way) - If you feel inclined I could arrange for you to come out and have a play on the dirt on the KDX, at least get a feel for if it is a 2 stroke that you want......

Hi,

Thanks for your reply, very useful. In honesty i really need to sell the zx7 first, as i havent got the space for another yet! Saying that i would definately be interested, and do regular trips round the m25 so could pop down for a look sometime.

If you are keen to sell soon though a mate is also on the look out for a KDX and it might be within his budget.

Cheers,

Matt

I hadn't even thought about selling it until I saw your post, so in no rush at all - There's a minor chance I might ride it and fall in love again, in which case it's mine mine mine! Laughing

I just can't help but think having two two stroke off roaders is a bit selfish.....but then there's the question of what I'd buy in its place!

I do think the KDX220R is a cracking little bike for offroad work - I was also considering a GasGas EC300 when I got the KDX though, they seem to go for reasonable money too.....
