DID chain help needed

I have a Suzuki GS500 2005 K5.

The chain on it is the DID 520VM O-ring. It is silver in colour and not the new X-ring gold.

I am after a split link for it, but can only find a listing for the new X-ring in gold and not silver.

What split link should I order as I can't find a silver one here in the UK?

I want to make sure that I get a split link that will fit correctly for my chain.

If I can only get the 520VM X-ring gold version split link would this be a good fit for my chain as a last result?

I think that the VM series are all gold whilst the VX series are not, try searching for a DID 520VX split link and you may have more luck.

Check your chain to see if it actually is a VM though, whilst I believe that all of the VM are gold I could very well be talking out of my colon .

DonnyBrag, looked on the chain and it says 520VM and it looks like chrome on all the outer links.

I bought a new 520 DID O ring split link for my bike off eBay so they're definately out there, tho it was gold. Having a gold one might be a good idea for you - make it easier to find when yoi're taking the chain off
