this may seem like a stupid question but and you ride outside of the UK on L plates?

I`m sure you CAN`T ride on L-plates outside of the UK.

Legally no you can't. People have done it in the past though and not got caught.
Up to you if you want to take the risk though.

I know someone who rode his CG to Spain and back on L's well he took them off lol

This has been discussed somewhere on here before, legally no you cannot ride outside the UK on a provisional licence with "L" plates.

If you take a 50cc to france, then legally you dont have to have anything, no numberplate, tax or even a M.O.T as a 50cc is classed as a bicycle not a motorbike/scooter.
