On the VTR i broke down last night, i started her up, thinkin back on it, it did seem to start a bit reluctantly, but fired up everything was fine, went past the skate park in southport, popped a wheelie and when landed continued.

All of a sudden i lost all power, odd you might say? indeed i began to shit myself as the oil pressure light came on.

I pulled over to the thought, oh its the kill switch, WRONG! As I tried to crank her over she gave symptoms of a dead batter, eventually i got a lift off someone with a van thankfully.

I've just been in the garage and took the plugs out, one was wet and the other fine (bit black though) and it cranked fine and the sparks were blue. So i'm going to suggest to my good self its the battery.

Has anyone else encountered this?

I had the same symptoms with the GSX. Turned out to be a coil.
