Evening all,
It's come to that time where I'm thinking of getting a newer bike. I'm only thinking of changing her as my brother has had an '05 600 RR since the spring & I've ridden it a few times & it's got me thinking about changing mine for a newer 600 RR.

I've owned her since Sept '08 & she's my first 'big' bike. I chose the CBR 600 as they are reliable, a good all round performer & possibly the best ideal bike for learners to upgrade to when passing their full DAS course? I can honestly say I've been very pleased with her.

I've not had any issues at all with the bike engine or electrics & she has been very reliable indeed. I did have to replace the rec/reg box but that's it. I have maintained her to a high standard, changing the oil, filter & usual service items as & when.

Details of bike:

She is red & black, on a J plate registered in 1991 with only 20,000 miles on her & only 3 previous keepers. The keeper before me owned her for about a year & that was to get him back into biking as he had been off a bike for a number of years. I think I remember him saying that before he owned the bike it belonged to an old boy who hadn't ridden it much, hence the low mileage.

MOT'd until May 2011 Tax until 07/11

There is part service history with the bike, but I have kept all receipts & invoices as I believe s/h is very important. I have carried out the oil & filter services myself & have receipts for head race renewal (which my mechanic carried out) & other receipts that the previous owner handed onto me.

I also had the tyres replaced when I bought the bike for sticky Michelin boots.

I bought the bike with about 17k miles on the clock.

1st MOT in my ownership was on 10/05/09 @ 17538 miles
2nd MOT in my ownership was on 10/05/10 @ 19327 miles
I have 3 older MOT slips, of which the oldest is dated 23/12/03 @ 13935 miles.

She's not failed one MOT & not had any advisories either.

Now bearing in mind she is 19 years old I believe she is in very good condition for her age. I get comments on how clean & tidy she looks whenever I go out on her which gets my mate (who owns a 1yr old Duke 1198) very  lol
There are some small marks & blemishes on the bodywork, but it's nothing to complain about. If you're really, really, fussy, the front wheel could do with a touch up/respray but that's about it I think.

She's dead comfy to ride & the pillion seat is an actual seat, not a piece of material the size of a postage stamp lol.

Here are a few pictures when I first got her. I'll take some more up to date pictures & PM the pictures to anyone who would be interested in her.

She also keeps up with my brothers newer 600RR very easily, which can't be bad for an 'ol girl!

£1300 ono? Open to any offers you may have, so please do make me one if you're genuinely interested.

Thanks for your time,
Richard
