So the time comes for looking for a jacket. I am quite interested in the RST rift as it has good reviews and is waterproof. Although is it too black (hot in the sun etc).

Are there any jackets that are different colours, preferably grey, from a decent manufacturer that are waterproof and are under £150?

I quite like the look of the Spidi JK Tex.

I will be getting a white jacket for the summer but for these winter months Ima need something a bit more waterproof and less conspicuous.

Also, if anyone has worn the RST Rift, got any comments?

Thanks guys Thumbs Up

Ok.... I haven't worn the Rift.

Black has not been too hot for me any time on the bike.

I'd buy whichever jacket you like, then get a cheap waterproof from Millets/whereever in you favourite colour to put on over the top.

Although I'd say you want something MORE conspicuous for the winter.... grey rainy days, dark mornings and early nights = day-glo hi-viz vest for me.

Thankyou for replying haha

Apart from the grey days, I shan't be riding much at night in the winter. Also with the jacket on top, not too sure about that, I think I would prefer a full jacket.

Depends on what sort of stock levels the dealers have.

Was looking at going to NEC, but having just costed out the train fare Twisted Evil @ £90 for me and the mrs... Any saving that might have been made will be wiped out by the cost of getting there. I could go in the car, but I wanted to avoid driving.
