At first jacket seemed an excellent buy, well-made etc etc but soon started leaking through the body seams, then through the arm seams and now it lets rain straight through - even a light shower! Good for dry weather - rubbish in the wet!

Odd thing is that, apart from forums, product reviews are full of praise.

That is because people post reviews after a few days..... Not after they have been worn for any extended length.

I have an S Type jacket, have used it year round for about 8/9 years or 70,000ish miles. It's been excellent, waterproof, well built. The vents are good for summer. It's not the thickest so in winter I wear a fleece underneath. Love the glove/jacket interface, big velcro flaps on cuffs so good if you wear your gloves inside your jacket. Not a single stitch has popped, all zips working fine.

Critisisms: the main pockets zips snag, bloody annoying sometimes! Also the pockets are not waterproof so don't stick phone/wallet in there. The pull cord on the bottom hem of the jacket leaves you with what look like shoelaces hanging down the side of the tank. I chopped them off.

For £120 odd quid I love it. Looking for another one now as I managed to melt the sleeve on a hot downpipe, doh. Or might get a Dynastar.
