Well after my cb2500 not having second gear i kinda got the hump with it and put it in the back of the shed and bought me a rxs100 cheap . its what i orignaly wanted but couldnt find one for sensible money. then this poped up locally borroerd £200 of my dad and went and got it. https://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs676.snc4/61680_10150251976400244_644755243_14775144_8329939_n.jpg

all it needs is a mudguard. which i have just bodged a fibreglass rd350 4lo one on (pics inabit)

she starts first time every time with no choke (worn needle?)
ood tyres and forks etc. seat cover is a little worse for wear but its gonna be a work horse so i dont care ...

any hows just ordered some hand muffs. now to find out if you can run heated grips of a 6v?

Is this the one with only 2k on the clock?

If that's genuine, I f*cking envy you. £200?!

I recently forked out a ridiculous amount for a 1999 CG needing a lot more work than that!

uuurgh. Jammy git.

Laughing

Cheers,

Steve.

when i rode it to the mot it didnt have a 'surge' at 5k ish . so when i got home i took the baffle out to be met by a bbq. started it and revved it and F me it was throwing lumps out of the exhausts LUMPS OF carbon!

i took it for a spin with no baffle in and it was nice but far to loud for me to use on the night shifts. so put baffle back in after a good F clean, i do fancy a top box for it . and maby a race pipe meh i dunno yet but i do like it i LOVE it after having bog bikes last 2-3 years. makes me wanna get my ns125 back on the road as that was my little monster did alomst 25k miles on her without touching it.

my dad always had rxs's back in the 80's and he reckons this one has some reed's and possibly alittle engine work. as he recalls the reeds being the first thing to do and leave stock exhaust and put a bigger main jet and polish the piston and head every few thou and i should be onto a winner. he reckons 30k+ per piston Very Happy

oh well i love it might look for a front end upgrade if there si sych a thing where i can bolt a disk front on for more power Very Happy

Your dad's right on the money with his suggestions! Many of the blocks have small casting errors and rough edges that some careful dremel work can smooth away. A set of dual-stage reeds is perfect, though an aftermarket exhaust would definitely be beneficial with enough fuel-air mix getting through.
