Just got myself a Tuturo chain oiler off fleabay for £17 and installed it on my CBF. It works really well and is pretty much invisible once on. The installation takes about 30mins and most of that is trialling the positions of the main components and the tubing run. Very Happy

They are manual oilers not automatic like the Scott systems but are also a fraction of the price and don't require you to interfere with the manifold vacuum in any way. Instead of these being auto, you just need to remember to turn it on and off for one journey once a week.

Here is where you get one:

Here are some pics of the install for those that might be interested:

Locate oil reservoir under pillion seat panel and clip oil reservoir into one of the Honda 15mm 'D lock' retaining clips

Feed tubing through under main seat

Position twin feed nozzles above chain just to the rear of the drive sprocket. These need to be adjusted first and the ends of the nozzles cut to match the width of chain and whether it is an o'ring or not. Then the nozzle feed can be attached to chassis mount using ripchord fasteners

The final installation needs to be callibrated for the type of oil you want to use. I used Halfords SA80/90 gear oil

Then re-assemble, turn on the oiler and go for a blast to oil your chain! Laughing Laughing Laughing

Total time for installation around 45mins (including taking the pics. Not a bad Sunday afternoon project though I say so myself. Laughing

I though the Tuturo had to be turned on and off before and after each ride. Isn't it going to be a bit of a pain having it under your seat?

Nice gig, what's the consumption on that thing? I wouldn't even think of installing one, since my 'glove' compartment is already crowded. Laughing

Squared-Off tyre from lots of miles straight-up as in Hi-non eventful motorway use. Or as a taxi would do lots of uneventful mileage.

Pork as in The main constituent in SPAM.

Gedit?

....ahhhhhh! yes I understand now! I have only just bought the bike and only had it for 5 weeks so the tyre is the result of the previous ownder, however, with only 3400mls up it doesn't seem that bad to me. As to spam...I was just trying to be helpful and share an install? Laughing

In response to the 'under the seat = inconvenience' point earlier, the CBF has a pillion 'glove box' so it is just a turn of a key to access the oiler control. Very Happy
