I heard that most breakdown cover companies won't cover you in the event of an off. Ok if you have a big off then thats gonna be covered by your insurance, but say you come off at a low speed on your own and break your clutch lever or your brake lever or something simple and want to get recovered back home then that sounds a bit rubbish, especially if your a couple hundred miles from home then you either got to leave the bike where it is or pay a few hundred quid recovery.

Someone told me that Green Flag don't have this condition on their policies so is a good policy for bikers. Is this all true or not?

What breakdown cover company would you reccomend for bikers use?

I don't think any of them are really any good for bikers use, perhaps with the exception of SOS though as far as I know they don't do breakdown cover as a policy you can buy.
I've had several really shitty breakdowns with both the RAC and AA and they're equally crap at either coming out on time, fixing the problem, or getting you back home by a reasonable time either.
In my experience you're lucky if they can even attend you broken down on a dual carriageway in the pissing rain within 2 and a half hours, and even then they'll have you wait another 2 hours for a recovery truck to arrive when they decide they can't fix it.
It's usually pretty pathetic with them in terms of standards of service, they certainly don't live up to their adverts!
If you are lucky enough to have them sent out to you by your insurance firm recovery policy SOS are great and actually can fix a lot of problems, but chances are you won't!
As far as I know most insurance firms will recover you if you have an accident, I don't know at what point it becomes serious enough though. Personally I find lieing to the recovery firm about what's happened usually works fine though, you don't have to mention 'accident'!

Pretty sure green flag don't have the bit about no accidents on their policies. I looked into a load of stuff and am with them and happy enough with their service.

Definitely avoid the AA and RAC, both suck.
