Every day I wonder the same thing so I thought I might mention this in case anyones interested!

I work on a huge industrial site in the north west, in cumbria. The site has 10-12k people and we are connected to sites in warrington, springfields and some in Scotland. Years ago a lotus notes database was set up for workers to use free of charge for buying and selling of odds and sods but one category is cars and bikes.

The point is that we get all sorts of bikes on there from really old classics to month old fireblades and I know some of you are always on the look out for some odd things so I was thinking if anyone would be interested I would start a thread somewhere and keep it updated or people could make requests and I would help out. Its all just normal people selling second hand stuff but Ive seen trikes, nortons, rd350's and all sorts going and its usually the first stop before ebay. If anyones interested let me know, itll be helping out bikers trying to sell and buy I guess!

If I was closer I'd be interested. I'm on the saving up for a new bike kick at the moment. I've decided I want a firestorm

Pretty much what ever I can afford after xmas. The bike I am on at the moment is a mates who let me use it rather than sitting wasting in his garden. He's given me no time limit on returning it but I know he will eventually want it back so I do need my own bike sooner or later.

Ideally I'd want a 2001 model or later with the bigger tank but TBH as long as it has had the cam chain tensioners done, because they seem to be an issue after a while, I'd be happy. Seen a few for around the £1500 mark but with the new baby and cutting my hours down and saving for a deposit on a house (family life) I'm reduced to saving a little each month for the bike fund.... Hense the after xmas.
