02 Mobile Broadband issues

Ok hopefully you guys can help me as im a bit lost on this.

I set up my nieces computer the other day and put her online with a mobile broadband dongle, got it online it updated a bit, was on google, facebook, the lot.

When it came to the time to show her, the dongle refused to work, it was connected (1-2 bars) apparently at HSDPA? speeds but refused to load any websites.

I put this down to it being 'peak time' at 6-7pm but apparently it hasn't worked since.

It has credit (put a fresh tenner on it for her) but won't even load the credit buying page and i'm at a complete loss as to why.

I'll be taking some USB extender cables with me tommorow and attempting to move the dongle as its currently on the floor pretty much and hope the boosted signal improves it?

But any other ideas as to the cause? Just find it peculiar that it WAS working fine but now isn't??

we've not long got rid of our dongle as when we were moving house we needed to stay on the internet as we had stuff on ebay selling at the time and after a week or 2 of it being there it just started to play up and we couldnt do anything with it all i could reccomend you do is phone O2 and ask them whats going on with it, chances are they'll say there should be nothing wrong at all, and ask you to send it in and they'll send you a new one anyway.
