 |
|
Hello, My name is Zhenia, I am a stuntrider from Russia!
https://s60.radikal.ru/i169/1009/7f/bbe0b6bc20a5.jpg
Now I moved to UK (London, Greenwich) to study, but I would really want to carry on stuntriding. I don't have the money to buy a motorbike here so I would want to get a scooter. I want to get Yamaha Slider 50cc. I have a number of questions.
1) Where could I get a cheap one, second hand?
2) What license do I need to get for it ?
3) Is there anywhere I could stunt leggaly? some kind of parking may be..
4) Is there anyone doing stuntriding? if I could join a group, that would be briliant, because It would be boring to ride by my self.
If not could you reccomend me a UK forum which I need
Any help would be appreciated
sorry for my bad english
Thanks! |

1 ) Auto trader may be a good start for finding secound hand bikes (website or magazine)
2 ) You would only need a CBT to ride a 50cc bike, just a days training, no pass or fail, and you can ride anything up to 125cc with L plates on.
Cool picture sir |

Hello Zhenia.
Yamaha sliders are quite rare in the UK.
Best thing is to check www.ebay.co.uk
or www.gumtree.co.uk
Stunting in the UK is ILLEGAL.
But if you are out of the way in parking lot/car park.
SOME police are friendly.
I recommend going to the UK section of Stuntlife forums.
Nearly all of the UK riders are registered on there.
https://www.stuntlife.com/forums/435-united-kingdom
Thanks, look forward to meeting you soon.

For what? If you've got permission to be there, then you're not committing a road traffic offence (so they can't issue an s59 warning), additionally, you're clearly not trespassing.
| Quote: |
Section 34 Road Traffic Act (extract) –
34.—(1) Subject to the provisions of this section, if without lawful authority a person drives a mechanically propelled vehicle
(a) on to or upon any common land, moorland or land of any other description, not being land forming part of a road, or
(b) on any road being a Footpath, Bridleway or restricted byway,
he is guilty of an offence. |
(shamelessly lifted from the GLASS guide to s59, although they've taken the view that driving on a private road that is not also any other protected right of way such as a footpath etc. is trespass rather than a s34 offence. I'd be inclined, at first read, to disagree).
Obviously if you're mucking about in plain view, on private land that you've no permission to be on then yes, the local plod will probably take a dim view of it. If you've the right to be there then it's nowt to do with them.
Remember, discretion is the better part of valour! ____________________ '11 CBF1000A, '99 C90, '98 CB500

I have heard that there are people who do stunts in Enfield near Warburton's factory.
(Not the street racing wannabe's, but actual stunters) ____________________ Hit the G spot. |
