hi all,

my front pads are due for there renewal in the next couple of hundred miles by the looks of it. can anyone reccomend and quality pads? ive never bought anything other then standard on past bikes.

its an fzs600 fazer 99'

the brakes are pretty shit hot standard to be fair, there the same ones as th R1 of the era. just weighing up an improvement, there is always room for improvement Cool

standard pads are 19 quid a pair but i dont mind spending a bit more on special items.

cheers

Any moderately decent brand HH sintered should be fine, I'm not that into spending uber £££s on pads.

Just gonna add what kinda riding do you do? I went for non sintered pads as sintered eat the disc faster(imo - have also heard they don't make a difference) and I want the discs to last the rest of the bikes life, doubt i'd notice the extra stopping power anyway.

quite alot of just meandering to and from but then i go for mad blasts also. one critisms of my current pads is that they do tend to fade after 5-10 or so mins of very hard riding. not to a massive extent but you can definitely tell. i will be getting a bigger bike next summer and the discs are fat and full still. im after performance over longevity to be honest but nto to an extent that my discs go see through in a week.
