I assume Viper and V-Can are the same company? That thing looks exactly, line for line the same as my V_Can did.

If it is, it is OK. I was pretty rough with mine and killed it within 5 months of daily use. The main reason for it being dead was a big retriever nomming it and running out and dropping it on a concrete path. The helmet survived, the flip mech didn't. Kept it as a spare helmet and when I get the money I will get another (just the blue tooth version this time), my current helmet, the 190, is just to badly fitting for my epic elongated head.

I think it's worthless unless it fits properly.

Because people get too hung up on having the helmet they like the look of, or the features on it rather than one that fits them properly.

Go to the shop, and try a load on.

Also remember that as a flip up, it is tested as an open face helmet, and therefore the front flippy bit is probably about as useful in a crash as a BLT.

I have one and I like it Mr. Green

Flip works well. Not too nosiy. In fact its quieter than my last full face lid (v-can) Flip down sun visor if great. Bloothtooth works well, can recieve and make calls at + legal speeds as well as listen to music. People that moan you can't hear at higher speeds need to adjust the volume on their phone/mp3 player as that makes a big diffrence.

Down sides.
Mine has a leak down the inside of the visor in heavy rain. Yet to find how its doing this. as it is a snug fit. Sealed the top vent up to rule that out.
No one seems to have worked out how to get the visor off. Plastic covers over the edge seem to be cliped into the helmet in a very fixed way, and I'm lothed to attempt to force them out in case they break. So email the seller to see how its done.
Mists up very easily as its a thin visor, even with anti-mist spray, but as I often ride with it opened a touch (stays in place at speed as well) its not too much of a issue.

All in all I'm happy with the helmet as it does exactly what I need and is above all A PERFECT FIT on my head Thumbs Up

I was informed (not sure if rightly or wrongly) at my CBT that flip front lids were tested with the front DOWN and locked in place - as they tend to have a big fookin metal bar going across the chin area which gives the lid its rigidity and safety - therefore riding with any flip front lid with the front UP is actually illegal because it's not tested as such, and wouldn't have a safety certificate.

This is what I was told and matches with the docs on my hjc is-max.

The certification only applies when the chin bar is down, without it down the helmet loses it's rigidity.

Worked out how to get the visor off today on this lid.....

Will upload some pics as plenty of people seem to be asking how....

Brute force is the key it seems, to get the side covers off. After that its a piece of cake. Thumbs Up
