Nah, extra models to fund the superbike development, someone also mentioned when the race rep boys become old geezers because of the Ducati riding position they end up on Harley's so this is a way to keep them in the brand.

I have a feeling something big will happen with Ducati and the new models in 2012...

Or they wanted Harleys in the first place, but it was only after a while of tarting around on a Ducati they were able to accept their place as a tarter rather than a biker Razz.

Nice back end on it, decent idea (one i thought up ages ago but was never going to have the cash for), front part of the engine area looks a little off. They should either have gone for some enclosing bodywork like a sports bike lower fairing, or opened it up wide like a V-Max.

The 2 year belt stuff is bit over cautious, there is someone on one of the other forums that has been running an 800 race bike for about 5 years on the same belts. There's also a video of a fork lift lifting an american pick up using duc belts....Not that I'd try go over the 2 year limit Laughing
