Bought my son a TS50ER last year when he was 16. Rebuilt the engine with new piston, mains and seals. MOT and tax till oct next year. he's now got a 125 and the TS has to go but I haven't got a clue what it's worth.

Never put anything on ebay with a reserve, it completely puts people off. Search completed listings on ebay and see how many items that have reserves actually sell, very few. If you absolutely have to, put it on with a starting bid of the lowest you'll take for it.

But if you want it to make the highest amount possible, you need to put it on for 7 days, starting on sunday night, for 0.99p

Yea, if it's got a reserve I won't bother wasting my time coming back to check and certainly won't bother wasting my time bidding on it when I don't know if my bid is even possible to win or not.

Looks in good condition, but sadly it is no good for 99% of 16ers as they will want a scoot. So you are looking at the people who used to have one as a lad wanting one again - as they can. Now this could work in your favour as they will have a bit more money to throw at a good example ... which yours seems to be ... the purists won't like the non standard paint job, but that is not too much hassle to rectify ...

You might see yourself with as much as £600+ for that little baby ... or no one will want it and it will effectively be worthless!! Wink

I really think it is that polar ...

Interesting about the reserve. Never thought about it like that!

Might stick it on adtrader too.

When it gets close to the auction end get a friend to bid up to £349 if it hasn't reached there already. If he wins then you can both agree not to go forward with the sale. Chances are it'll reach that easily.

Loads of good quality photo's will help.

Back to the bike however. I'd guess around the £400 mark as it looks in reasonable condition for the year. It's the same bike I had at 16 on the road. Thumbs Up

What exactly is your moral problem with it? Apart from that ebay may not make so much money of course.
It's not like you'll pay any more for your bike or even know it's happened.

However, I wouldn't recommend it as you will end up paying ebay if the auction finishes with bids on.
For a bike at this price point I'd go for all the free places first - see the sticky at the top of the section for various options.
