Well I've now sold my first big bike and have a year to decide on the next big bike. I had an SV650 which was ok for the first month or so but became a little boring after a while. It was good for cornering though which kept it exciting but I think I could do with a quicker bike.

So hopefully you guys and gals can help.

Looking for a bike with god wind protection (the sv was crap as it was the standard screen)

Would like a bike that could sit comfortably at 100mph without wind causing too much agro.

i'd like to be slightly more upright than the SV650S to increase comfort levels.

And I would love it to be a bike that corners well, and if I really twist the throttle the front wheel will pop up a bit.

Probably way too much to ask from a bike but the next bike will be almost brand new and I want to get as much from my money as possible.

What about an older CBR? Meant to be pretty comfy, stick a double bubble for wind protection and would sit fairly comfortably at 100.

I'd suggest a Triumph TT600. Bit off the pace of sports bikes of its day, but very good handling, and can be had for about half the price of an r6. £800 for a 2001 is not unrealistic.

I also like thundercats, better engine, but not so good handling.

So you want a sportsbike? If so just choose from the bunch in your price range.

Have ridden one. Can only describe it as "different" but I could see it being a lot of fun once you get used to the Funny Front End.

I can confirm it ticks the "good wind protectiong" and "more upright than an SV" boxes Thumbs Up

Plus the sound Drooling

CBR1000RR with some higher bars fitted?

Good wind protection, can easily cruise at 100mph, very comfy, can tour, very fast, wont have any problem popping the front wheel up, handles very well, it's probably the best handling bike I've ridden, very 600 like, but with the power of a 1000cc bike! Pretty much fits everything you need! Even the standard riding position and bar position are very user friendly, it's easily the most versatile of all the sports bike's I've ridden!
