In about a week's time I'm having to start commuting to Wakefield centre every day during rush hour. Now I'll be approaching up the M1, would I be better advised to take junction 39 or 40?
It seems I'll either have to travel on the A636 or A638 into Wakefield, but having never travelled on either road before I'm not sure which will be better. Would travelling an extra junction on the M1 be offset by a faster road (A638) into Wakefield?

I don't know those roads too well but they both have speed cams at some point. I would say the A636 as it has dual carriage way but try them both to see which works best.
I've gone into Wakey from M62 and A638 and it's took up to an hour to get into the centre at that time |
