Not right no.

They are not a handful in the slightest, I also thought my one was the most comfortable bike I have ever ridden but this may be because of my long arms. They are very smooth and you really need to rev it a lot to get going, the brakes are really good.

Well like I said I found my zx6r very comfy so I could ride it long distances no bother at all. But it is a sports bike so it really depends on the person how you will find it over long distances.

tank range is going to be around 100-130 miles so long distance is all relative.
done touring before to germany on my gsxr and a few hundred miles can be done in a few hour sprint easily on motorways or body destroying through villages and country roads in a day.

If you're after a bike to tour on, track focused 600's are a world away.
But as said you'll have to see If the zx6r suits your size, gsxr k6 onwards has said to be best for distance

i agree with this, I have one for racing and have been using it without a steering damper as they dont come with one as standard and it handles it fine.

awesome bike!
