Oil stained driveway

Hey guys,

What's the best way of cleaning oil stains(/big fuckoff puddles says the better half) off my driveway? It's concrete covered in a layer of aggregate, and some of it has been slightly eaten away.

Moving out in a couple of weeks and don't fancy them screwing me for some of the deposit money...

Some suggestions. I tend to favour the 'let it wear away' method myself, but then I'm not about to move (I hope)

Pressure washer generally does it. Too much and it'll eat away at the surface, but not an issue for you .

Thinking of trying the "blast it with a pressure washer, fill the holes with postcrete and throw a new bag of aggregate over it" method.

I had this problem a few years ago after a work colleague forgot to replace his oil filler cap on his Vauxhall after topping up the oil and subsequently parked on my drive. The advise I was given and which I followed, was to sprinkle laundry detergent liberally on the oil stains, then do absolutely nothing. Rain would eventually remove the detergent, in my case some weeks later and the stains were history.

Use a jetwash, and you can get driveway cleaner. I cant remember the name of the one that i used, but it worked quite well with the jetwash. put some on the stain, scrub a little, leave it for a few minutes, then blast if off with a jetwash.

In my experience in removals, I've found that no matter how clean you leave the place, they'll still screw you for the deposit. You watch, someone will come around with a clipboard marking down any mark bigger than an ants testicle on any walls or floors. How they expect you to live somewhere without leaving any signs of human inhabitance is totaly beyond me
