I use my 37" Toshiba LCD TV as a second monitor. It's not grainy at all, I sometimes sit about 10 inches away from it at my desk, and everything looks perfect. It's great for watching movies on when I'm sat in bed, and browsing forums. I don't know why people say they look shite up close, it looks perfectly fine. I'm using it right now, from less then 1 foot away and everything looks perfect! ____________________ 2009 CBR1000RR

My TV and Monitor are next to each other.
I am looking at a 20" Monitor and a 37" TV right now, at the same time, and I can't tell a huge difference. I prefer to use the TV!
Don't get me wrong, the Monitor is better quality up close, but not massively, I definitely wouldn't class the TV as "Grainy shit" ____________________ 2009 CBR1000RR

A monitor will always be better quality then an LCD, but the LCD is still very usable as a monitor, its just not as pin sharp!
With regards to sound, most people will use the same sound output from the PC, I don't use my TV's sound output when I use it as a monitor. ____________________ 2009 CBR1000RR
