Hi Folks,

Been riding on CBT for 2 years now and have finally today sat my theory test and passed.

I've already had a 3 hour lesson (Inc CBT renewal) and have another 3 hours tomorrow - will be booking up my MOD1 straight afterwards.

I'm a long time reader here, but first time poster.

Looking for a CBF600, SV650, Hornet (usual first bikes) once I've passed.

Wish me luck! Smile

Good luck and hope you have a better time of it than me. Sat my Mod 1 7 (seven) times before passing as I was getting too nervous doing the manouvers. Just take your time and you'll be fine Very Happy

Nice going. Considering you have had your CBT for almost 2 years now. I hope you get cancelation before the date Neutral

Oops, didn't mention - re-sat my CBT in Aug this year, so all clear.

Looking for cancellations is a pain in the arse because I work office hours and need to give 14 days notice for holiday - just hoping something comes up.

Closest test centres for me are Garrets Green and Reddich Smile

Same wants as me. Good luck pal, mine's soon. Didn't half feel like an old bloke in the test centre, full of little kids. Funny. And one of the test centre guys asked what I bike I was getting, said CB600F or SV650S and he said he'd thought I'd be getting a Harley. Why does EVERYONE think that? Bald head and big beard have something to do with it?

Did you have Barry, the bearded chap there? What a decidedly pleasant guy he is. He knew I'd had to hitch hike to the test centre in the p*ssing rain (long story) and made me a cup of coffee when I arrived.

Jodie / Nexus - I belive I did yeah, really nice bloke. I'll be honest I thought I'd screwed up the 'U' turn as I put my foot down a little early. Naturally he just said thank you and explained the next stage and allowed me to proceed.

It must have been obvious I thought I'd blown it from face/tone but he stayed smiling. Once I'd finished the emergency stop he called me over and said 'I'll put you out of your misery, it's a pass' ride back to the office and I'll explain.

He explained as I'd actually finished and stopped the bike next to the 'kerb' the fact that I put my right foot down to stop the bike dropping (rain caused my foot to slip) wasn't a problem. I didn't move into the road, or over the kerb so nobody was in danger... I could have kissed him.

Thanks for the kind words all, it's appreciated! Smile
