Quick question guys, I've got a full bike licence and had my first driving lesson today, my instructor didn't know if I have to get another provisional because there isn't a picture of a car on the back? Now i'm not being funny but fuck that for a laugh, I had a provisional obviously before my full bike licence and I'm not paying for another one.

Cheers gays Karma[/img]

LOL

the instructor doesnt even know that?? id double check he has a licence at all before letting him teach you...

your licence is your licence is your licence. repeat 100 times.

you have one licence and that is it. once you pass your driving test your car entitlement gets added to it. you do NOT need another povisional licence.

and interesting side point on that front. if you have a bike and car entitlement and loose your licence through too many points or whatever, you only have to take one test to return all your entitlements. i.e. take your car test again and you'll get your bike entitlement back along with it.

tis why some naughty people go and do the tractor test as the test is easy as pie im told Smile

Its the same with me, but I have both provisional bike and car on the paper part, even though I have full license (well, 33hp restricted)

What he said...

You only have ONE licence, that holds which ever entitlement you have passed a test for.

The paper part of your license IS your provisional license. I think it even says it on it somewhere.

I think he was worried that DVLA had made a cock-up when issuing the full license. It did seem a little odd to me, leaving off the car provisional all together from the photocard, but as long as it's on the paper part, I'm happy.

If you have a full license in one thing, it counts as a provisional for everything else

Cheers guys, yes I was just worried that I'm going to turn up to the test center and they would be like OMGWTFBBQ.

But that's just me. On the plus side, I was awesome at driving, it's a piece of piss.

If you have a full licence I don't think your provisional entitlements show up, as theres no way to caveat them.

When I got my provisional (a long time ago, but I still have it) it had a car & a bike on, it now only has the car on it, provisional class A relegated to the counterpart.

If you look on your counterpart driving licence (the paper bit), under "Provisional Entitlements" it will have B which is cars.

Thumbs Up!
