winter wheels?

hi ppl,
just wondering if any of you have gone and got yourself a winter bike, or even a car, and if so what it is, and how much it cost ya etc.. Ive brought a KMX200 today, its an 88 E reg, with 17k on the clock. Only 2 owners, both local, but its been used for green laning, and so its a bit tatty in places. I paid £550 for it, and am planning after xmas to strip it down for a full re-build, and get some supermoto wheels. Im currently cashless though, as ive just brought a car as well, and with christmas coming, it might be some time before i do anything with it. It runs ok and has 6mth tax/mot, so it should be ok for a while. Compared to my last kmx200 it looks pretty horrible, but im trying to visualise a future supermoto tool, in kawasaki green!

I got a GPZ550 for free and bought another for spares for £80. The 1st is nearly ready for it's MOT.

I have a Suzuki GS 125 which my brother gave me after he passed his test. It is at the moment my only two wheeled transport, but will be treated as a winter hack until April when my darling wife has promised me a new bike for my birthday. In fairness I have to use a car for work (too much kit to carry about for a bike, and starship mileages to cover too) so its still only a plaything.

Just went today and looked at an XJ600 Diversion to buy. £750. Decent tyres, good exhausts. Overall pretty good condition.

Got myself a rd350 for £600. Needed a few things doing to it.
Most importantly needs a new front wheel now... but that's my fault Confused

. Only £60 for a set of wheels with discs though... as opposed to 5-10x that for a new sports bike Smile

My £150 Nissan Microbe is doing very nicely thank you. Except that the heater packed up the other day, meaning I had to drive to Gatwick and back in the freezing cold and rain with the sunroof open to let air in to stop the windows fogging up. Rolling Eyes

Still preferable to being on the bike though. Razz

Yep. Should get it next Monday. No ball of fire for performance but it will do for commuting. Very smooth and quite torquey at low revs, just that when sporty bikes wake up this one goes to sleep.

Do use the car sometimes, and will use it a lot more when it gets frosty more often.
