Touch wood but my bike hasn't missed a beat this winter! Was -6 when I went to work today and it started straight away! My poor little XR was covered in ice!

Takes about a mile to warm up in this weather.

How has you lots bikes been coping with the cold?

ZX6R.

Lay covered in snow and 3 days worth of frost and ice.

Fired up on the button, as usual.

My RXS has been phenomenal, all the more so considering the ridiculous mileage and advanced state of decay of most components now Laughing However after 20 years of active service in my hands I think the end might be at last be nigh Confused

Well Matt. I was parked in town where I always park and when I finished my business in town I come back to some bloke trying to start his suzuki marauder with no joy.

Killed his battery trying. Before I gave him a push he said his bike has been a bitch to start in the cold.

Made me feel very thankful that I just press a button and my bike fires into life 100% of the time (touch wood)!

Hope that answers your question Matt!

My old marauder was fantastic in the cold, always started 1st time, even after beign left in the snow for a fortnight.

Then my insurance company got hold of it and the problems started, so I sold the bugger Laughing

Not had an ounce of bother with my Comet although the battery was upgraded to a Bosch one before I bought it and not the standard tat.

TBH the amount we pay for our bikes they should be just as easy to start as a car.
