I've seen similar tactics used in ads to try to get us to behave ourselves. If it offends you, have a word with CBS about the breach of their copyright.

Indeed, morally, there's a difference between using this imagary to try and saves lives and doing it to turn a profit. Undoubtedly this guy would claim he was trying to save lives too. In which case he'd be churning them out at cost. Not sure I'd be happy finding a picture of my dead grandfather being used to promote a range of "healthier eating" desserts, but technically it amounts to the same thing.
