Anyone live in Newcastle (the really northern one, not the one in the Midlands!)?

Can you recommend any good restaurants? I need to arrange somewhere for about ten people and I'm after advice. I'm open to suggestions on food types but there are two stipulations;

1. One of the party is allergic to wheat and diary.
2. One of the party can only eat halal meat.

Thanks!

When I was wheat free we found most places could sort something with some notice. From little local places to chains like Ask were all accommodating given a week to get something in.

I've been to an Indian buffet restaurant called Flavours, its on the same road as the O2 Academy, just head towards The Gate and you'll pass it on your right. Pretty cheap but good Indian food. Smile

For Indians my preffered choice is Solomons on Westgate road .
Just down from the A1 / A69 Crossover .

Second to that is one on Ponteland road next to the BP Garage but i can't remember the name of it .
I'll update when i pass it as i just live down the road

Lots of indian food has cream milk and flour in it. So yes they will do halal but might not be so easy for the dairy free person.
