Yes, that's fine. But as in the UK, you must ride within the terms of the licence.

Though if you're stopped by foreign police, they're unlikely to be familiar with British restricted licence terms.

Did France and Switzerland in September on my A2 licence, no questions asked the whole trip including at the Channel tunnel customs etc etc.

Didn't have a GB sticker or a reflective vest either and had no issues. Main concern for me was driving on the otherside, which becomes natural pretty much straight away Smile

Only time I have found a GB sticker of any use is when people think I am Dutch(they use the same style of yellow plates as us)

Only thing I ever stick to is a spare set of bulbs and a first aid kit.

Carry both and know how to use them and you won't need 'em Wink

I don't about your specific licence type (I'm not up to speed on the different types these days), but every time I've needed to drive overseas, I have applied for the RAC overseas licence/driving permit.

I've never needed one of these. But then I stay in Europe and the only countries in Europe that require one are:

Albania. Armenia. Russia and the Ukraine.

Complete waste of money unless your trip is going to take you to these 4 countries... or are heading further east, or into Africa. And even then.. not all. Morocco doesn't need one (for instance)

Sooner or later opinions fade and the name on the tank matters not. I think that happens somewhere between 3rd and 4th gear. Enjoy the ride... everything else takes care of itself.

Thats fine till they tug you and demand e90 in cash or they take your bike for not having a country identifier

I just have my GB sticker on my plates, simples.
The trouble with going against the law is you can get away with it for so long and once caught you are stuck. Best to be cautious, play the game and enjoy your trip.
