No1 Son has just finished his scooter and wants to go somewhere to have a ride. Neither he or the bike are road legal yet though so we need somewhere private. Lots of fields around me but they've all got cows in. I've though about the local industrial estate on a Sunday morning but I'm not sure if thats technically a legal road. Any ideas ?

I'd suggest a school carpark...or around a field. And remember to focus on slow speed and balance rather than tearing around at speed. Thumbs Up

First off:

Secondly, you could have a look on totalmx and see if there's any open style off road practice tracks.

Four marks near Alton (too far for you, I'm guessing) has a big open area which is good for general practice and as you pay a tenner, you can be sure you won't get legal hassle.

Otherwise, try a car park after 4pm on a Sunday, maybe Smile.
