The wifes asked me what I want for Christmas and the problem is I have no idea what I want.

So people, what interesting good gadgets are out there that the wife could buy me?

Show me somethings I never knew I needed/wanted.

Very Happy

Helicopters are a git to fly properly and expensive to repair. I'd be interested to know how many main blades, tail rotors, booms and stripped gearsets he's gone through to get to that level.

You dont have to get an expensive heli.

Loads of cheap ones available that are a bit of fun,

I've got one. Admittedly only used it about twice, but it was fun.

How about an activity ?

I recently tried ski ing for the first time at the tamworth snowdome. You have to blag your way in as being recreational standard if you havent done it before, and fall over a lot and nearly get kicked out, but worth it when you get the hang of it. Watch a few youtube vids on how to ski to get the idea.

If you have been ski ing before, its probably even more fun.

Hex was quite in to his nitro Helicopters previously I believe.

On the 'activity' - not the time of year, but I've been kinda starting to Hang glide - interesting activity. Do it with the "aero tow" place and you get a decent tandem flight as well as a lesson.

I reckon you've done some snow stuff before, but as with Colin recently did some snow boarding, though had a day's training in May. Went to the Trafford one a few weeks ago and fairly quickly got back in to it.

From watching southpark, how about a Margaritaville Smile.

My last two toy-purchases have totalled 444cc and under 200kg of 2 stroke goodness. Lots of fun and doesn't have to cost that much... but does take a bit of effort to get around and store.

I want to try these; apparently they do work, but suspect not as amazing as some site claim.

A food dehydrator, for making your own jerky - very tempted to get one myself Smile.

Laughing

No need for a flesh light I have a wife that allows me to abuse her at will.

Helicopters I have a couple of as G has said, sking was a novel idea but I have skied plenty of times and at some very nice locations.

I like the T equaliser and quite like the wifi t-shirts you can get.

Phone stuff...not interested in. Got my Blackberry for work and that does all i need.

This is the problem I have and the wife has.

I think it would just be random little gadgets that would apeal... so no more bikes G.

Not sure what your latest camera kit is up to, but I quite fancy one of the new small interchangable lens cameras. I've actually got a Pen F around.

I'd also be tempted by the new Samsung with 24mm (+3 times or so zoom) F1.8 semi-pro compact. But I've got already got the very similar LX3, which I luv werry much!

If your own need and imagination aren't up to the task, why not research a charity that sits well with you and ask her to donate to a good cause on your behalf.

If you dont fancy ski ing in a shed being used to nice locations, how about some other kind of activity ? I think these things can be bought as a gift voucher, and used at a later date.

There are loads of fun activities like this. Another one I'd quite fancy if I had a bit of spare cash, is the wind tunnel free fall. In the same way when you do a parachute jump, before you pull the cord, you are free falling, just supported by air, in the vertical wind tunnel, air blows upwards, and you are held up by the air.

Or you could even do a real parachute jump, then there's paragliding, hand gliding all sorts of other things.

Or how about a widget for an activity that you already do ? A camera widgit for photography for example as G has suggeted.

Dont think an activity is what Im after (never get much time at the moment between all my work). Also Ive done a few jumps from planes etc as well. Very Happy

Hmm I have wanted a under water camera for a while, but Im going to get the wife one for Christmas as shes after a new camera. Laughing

Paxovasa - got all suggestions Karma

Harold... I donate a fair amount of money to different charities as it is through my masonic activities.

CHR15 - you got anything to swap for her Laughing (problem is its mostly my money she spends... So guess I could just bypass the wife and buy you gifts for sexual favours Laughing )

I do like the RC tank idea... May go lookat thm later. I can just imagin chasing the cat as I type Very Happy
