A few years ago i had some Aldi boots, they were the most comfortable boots i've ever owned and lasted ages.

But they have been surpassed, got some 'speed x' boots off the bay for the nice little sum of £30 free delivery - next day no less.

From the off they look a little better quality and better aesthetically.

Thought i'd share.

I prefer race style boots myself - more support...

But at that price you really can't complain.

We will see if they are waterproof, they look as if they'l put up a decent fight against the rain though.

These aren't aldi boots, same sort of price but better made, from eBay new- powerseller type job in different sizes, can't complain at that really, I had some Frank Thomas ones that cost £100 and they were bloody uncomfortable and frankly no better quality.

I had a pair of them. Really comfy. They will withstand rain to a certian extent. I think 11 hours in the stuff killed them one day though but I'd be surprised if anything held up to the conditions that day.

I bought a pair of these - I wore them once to walk around the house and threw them in the cupboard for a year and then threw them in the bin.

Isn't this the same argument as those fake Alpinestars off ebay?

Anyway, I bought some Nitro boots and they've held up pretty well apart from the one screw that snapped on the toe slider. I should be replacing them with RST boots

I've got some real alphine star SMX had them for 4 years, if they ever give up I will go straight out (if its payday) and buy another piair as they are the balls, had 3 pairs of cheap plastic crap and it was a false economy.

Totally agree, I have a pair of SMX4's and they are so comfortable, always kept my feet dry and they are not even the waterproof version, and they have held up very well in the 2 offs I've had. Once they are worn out I would happily spend the £140 again.
